Racism sucks!
I got a call today that really took the cake.
I had been reading some of the stories lately that have been involving racist customers and I thought "Is it really that prevelent?"
Aparently it is.
Me = Call center gal for the Florida Pre-paid College Fund
RW = Racist Woman
PHONE RINGY!
Me: "Good afternoon! Thank you for calling customer service. My name is (me) can I have your zip code please?"
RW: "Yah hi I was calling to get some answers about the plan my zip is (zip)"
Me: "Okay, what can I help you with?"
RW: "The last girl I talked to sounded really stupid, I mean, ghetto, you know? She was black and she didn't know what she was talking about."
Me: (tearing my hair out) "Mmkay what can I help you with."
RW: (Going into a spiel about prices, plans, and interest) "So what do you reccomend?"
Me: "I cannot reccomend a plan, but I can tell you exactly how much it will cost for which tuition plan you choose, plus any additional plans such as the 'local fee' plan or the 'dormatory plan'."
RW: "Oh, well, I'll try calling later!" *click*
Me: .........................
WHY WHY WHY are people like this? It hurts my head!
